Arctic terrestrial ecology, ecosystem modeling, climate feedbacks. Understanding the impacts of changes in climate on arctic and boreal terrestrial ecosytems, and how these impacts may then feedback to influence the climate system. Work at a variety of spatial and temporal scales, incorporating both ecosystem modeling and field-based methods into research.
