The Opportunity?
At the UAF Center for Innovation, we wanted to share details about our upcoming Academic Accelerator. Supported through the NSF EPSCoR project , we have a seven week set of workshops, with 1-hr a week.
What is an Academic Accelerator?
Each of these workshops is aimed to provide you with a session to prepare you for a new business venture, federal innovation funding, early-stage entrepreneurship programming in Alaska, and how to assess and evaluate the value of your innovation research and how to pitch your innovative solution to potential investors and end-users.
Who should apply and join?
Anyone from across University from Alaska with an innovative idea/project who wants to learn more about early-stage business practices and how to determine end-user needs and carry out effective stakeholder discovery.

Timeline and commitments: Applications are open now. Programming starts on Friday March 20th, 3 - 4 pm. There will be a 1-hr session each week. The last session is May 1st, 2026
