1-2p.m. SNAP Tools Demonstrations
The Scenarios Network for Alaska + Arctic Planning (SNAP) is a research center at
UAF’s International Arctic Research Center which handles large scale global climate
model data for the North. Join SNAP staff member Mike DeLue for demonstrations of
several portals into pan-Arctic climate data with a focus on the Arctic Data Collaborative,
Northern Climate Reports, and accessing our tools through our Application Program
Interface.
4-5p.m. The Arctic and Homeland Defense Center UARC Hour
Join our UARC Deputy Director David Schuster and Senior Program Manager Glenda Findlay
to hear how UAF’s University Affiliated Research Center (UARC) can support Arctic
research. Learn why the NORAD NORTHCOM sponsorship of the UAF AHDC UARC is an excellent
match in Arctic research competencies.
Wednesday, Dec. 17:
10-11a.m. Alaska Satellite Facility NISAR Hour
Join us for the ASF NISAR Hour to connect with our subject matter experts about what
NISAR products can do for the science community. Ask ASF Chief Scientist Franz Meyer
and other ASF staff how to access the data once it becomes available and practical
ways to integrate the NISAR product into your work.
